Childcare Assistant
The childcare assistant welcomes children entrusted to them by their parents outside of school hours and provides their care in the parents' absence. They offer a stimulating and enriching presence in group childcare settings and/or in a family-like environment, assuming an educational role while respecting the values and educational goals of the parents and the organizations that employ them.
Career opportunities:
Childcare settings for children aged 0 to 6: crèches, parent-run crèches, pre-nurseries, children's homes, municipal childcare centers, drop-in centers;
Childcare during children's free time: after-school care, homework clubs;

Qualification awarded upon completion of training :
Certificate of qualification Childcare Assistant specific to upper secondary education for social advancement.
Admission requirements:
To hold a lower secondary education certificate.

The training is organized over two years and includes:
• 620 periods of classes divided into 6 training units including teaching activities such as: communication, child development psychology, creative and cultural awareness activities, ethics, legislation, teamwork methodology, …

• 40 periods of preparation for the integrated assessment;
