Restorer of ancestral vehicles

This section aims to enable the student to acquire technical skills and basic know-how in automotive painting and automotive sheet metal.

To repair damage to ancestor vehicles using the appropriate operating procedure.

To place new sheet metal assemblies such as replacing assemblies by bolting, replacing assemblies by welding and bolting, etc.

Decode the information on the labels and pictograms on the different products used in bodywork

To remove, install and prepare a sheet metal of an ancestor car intended to receive a bodywork painting treatment,

To apply a paint treatment to a sheet metal for an ancestor vehicle in compliance with the various regulations in force,

To clean, maintain, store their equipment and the products used as well as clean the environment of their workstation,

To develop professional communication skills, observation skills, technical thinking skills and ensure compliance with procedures.

Title awarded at the end of the training: 

Certificate of successful completion of the “Restorer of ancestral vehicles” unit

Possible gateway for the “Sheet metal – Bodywork” and “Painter preparation” sections

Admission requirements:

Be in possession of a basic study certificate.
